Join us on Thursday, August 20 at 10:00 AM at Hide & Horn, located inside the Gap Café, for a special morning celebrating the remarkable literary legacy of Larry McMurtry and the storied town of Archer City, Texas.

Hear from George Getschow, Pulitzer Prize finalist, acclaimed journalist, and executive director of the Larry McMurtry Literary Center, and Kathy Floyd, managing director of the Literary Center and the Archer City Writers Workshop.

Together, they'll share stories of how Archer City became an internationally recognized destination for readers through McMurtry's legendary "Booked Up" bookstore, and the ongoing efforts to preserve his extraordinary life, work, and one-of-a-kind literary collection.

Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase the 60th Anniversary Special Reprint of The Last Picture Show.

Enjoy sips and light bites, exclusive shopping at the Perini Ranch Country Market and visiting with fellow lovers of Texas history and literature.

Admission is free, but we'd love to know you're coming.  Complete the RSVP process by ordering tickets as if it were a paid event.

If shipping to multiple recipients, please enter total quantity here and select “Ship to Multiple Recipients” during checkout.
